Universal Credit: DWP urged to allow claimants to revert to legacy benefits - MPs debate

UNIVERSAL Credit has seen a £20 uplift offered too payments since early 2020 and the Department for Work and Pensions have confirmed a possible extension of this will be reviewed in early 2021. Recently, Stephen Timms, the Chair of the DWP Select Committee, called on the government to extend this uplift to legacy benefits to ensure all claimants are being supported.
