On Thursday, the State Department approved a $10.4 billion sale of up to 50 F-35 stealth jets to the United Arab Emirates. But Congressional approval isn't guaranteed due to concerns the deal erodes the “Qualitative Military Edge” of the only current F-35 operator in the Middle East, Israel.
