Birmingham has an imposing new champion in the towering form of Shakan Pitters, who relieved Dec Spelman of his English light-heavyweight belt after 10 gripping rounds. Pitters showed he can comfortably accommodate the championship distance, can take a wallop to the chops and overcome crisis.
